Eucalyptus stricta - Blue Mountains Mallee Ash
Brand new for 2021!
Eucalyptus stricta is a beautiful eucalyptus that is endemic to eastern New South Wales.
It is a small tree, typically growing to 5-7 meters, with mottled grey-brown and pink bark. The leaves are slender and emerald, not unlike our native willow trees, but with the advantage of being an evergreen.
Hardiness is expected to be in the region of -5 to -10, increasing as the tree matures. With this in mind, we recommend considering this tree if you are further south than Gloucester, or if you have a particularly mild microclimate.
As a smaller tree, stricta is well suited to life in a container or a smaller garden.
